Here’s a simple BC overview map I made a while ago as part of the Trans Canada Trail Completion Strategy. Each “bubble” feature represents a gap in the trail. The bigger the bubble, the bigger the gap between trails and most likely the higher the cost and more resources it will take to connect the gap. The basic idea of this map is to draw attention to the areas or rather the management units where there are a high volume/occurrence of bubbles and therefore likely require more cost and resources to complete.
